The brief
PixelMax builds persistent 3D environments in Unreal Engine. The worlds looked impressive. The job was to make them easy to enter, move around and get something done in, whether that meant a meeting, an event or a match day.
What we did
We took on creative direction and product ownership. We benchmarked the market, ran workshops, and storyboarded the core scenarios: working together, holding conversations, hosting events and customising a space.
From there we mapped the architecture, wireframed sign-in, booking and avatar flows, and designed an interface layer that sits cleanly over the 3D world. The same system carried a UEFA Champions League experience, with an interactive map of the stadium's zones.
Where it went
The design system and style guide gave PixelMax one consistent interface across every environment, and set up our later work with them on Advanced Workplace Associates.
