The brief
Abu Dhabi Ports Authority asked for a short film explaining what a digital twin could do for a working port. The ambition behind the brief was bigger than a film, so we proposed building the thing itself.
What we did
We named the product, set its vision and designed the whole experience across two layers. The first is a high-fidelity Unreal Engine dock that stakeholders explore as avatars. The second is a set of operational dashboards showing capacity, congestion and logistics flow in context.
Custom pixel streaming meant people in different cities could run the environment live from a browser, with no install and no powerful hardware.
We had eight weeks, a light brief and an international team of specialists. We held the design lead throughout so it stayed one product.
What happened
Quay Twin was presented to senior government and port authority stakeholders. Complex port data became something people could walk through and understand in minutes. It now forms the foundation for further smart port work.
